In fact, this is not the exclusive name of goldenor, but the international common name.

U, It is the abbreviation of unit, which is made by the electronic industry association of America (EIA).

In the case, manufacturing industry of Rackmount Chassis, formed a unified specification, easy to mutual compatibility and adaptation. Especially in practical application, it brings great convenience to users and saves social resources.

U is a specific height unit. The conversion relationship between the standard height of a U and the international standard length units "meters" and inches is, 1u = 44.45mm = 1.75in.

Generally, Server chassis with height calculated by u will match the size of 482.6 mm = 19 inches in width to form a specific industrial box standard.

At present, in many industries, the industries with u as the high standard are industrial control and information communication industries.

In the data center and equipment room, there will be a large number of Rackmount Chassis for placing equipment, and the more common equipment is the server.
